EF Academy (Takumi): (00:07) Thank you. Thank you. It’s great to be here.
School History
ISTimes Global: (00:10) Can you tell us a little bit about the background and history of your school?
EF Academy (Takumi): (00:14) Sure. So EF, as you may know, um is uh one of the biggest uh like education providers in the world. Uh it’s um it was born in Sweden. Um and we have a lot of language schools like all over the world. Um and as part of that EF uh family, we have this um uh EF Academy which is based on um uh in the in the states, we got two campuses in the states and one campus based in Oxford um in the UK. Yeah. So now it’s it’s uh um it’s a huge uh sort of education provider. Um and as I mentioned, we have wide range of sort of programs and um uh you know, sort of education sort of courses available for for everyone basically. Yeah.
Academic Life
ISTimes Global: (01:04) Great. Can you tell us a little bit about academics at your school? What is learning like at EF?
EF Academy (Takumi): (01:10) Sure. Um so unlike any other sort of um uh education providers all over the world, uh we focus on giving students uh uh a lot of um like a practical sort of learning. Um so you know, in the in the sort of field of uh internships or um uh sort of any sort of activities that helps students um sort of progress their sort of academic workload. So we’re not we don’t focus on sort of, you know, writing or or sort of memorizing anything. Um we we we we normally we focus on basically um giving students a lot of practical sort of learning experience. And as part of that, our students getting a great result um out of those, you know, very much sort of job focused sort of learning um sort of scheme. So that’s really our main academic um sort of teaching method and uh and focus.
Extracurricular Activities
ISTimes Global: (02:05) Awesome. How about things outside of the classroom? How do children get involved in their community?
EF Academy (Takumi): (02:12) So our students uh are heavily involved in um extra curricula that we provide. So, you know, whether sort of in the face of um uh sort of, you know, outings or sort of any sort of activities that, you know, get students out of their campuses. So we organize things like uh, you know, sporting activities, we organize um uh, you know, sort of barbecues and and um all these sort of competitions between students as well. So students would never get bored outside their classrooms, you know, either. So there will always be things to do for everyone at on campuses. Um and our students are enjoying their campus life fully. And um and that’s one of the reasons why a lot of students actually come to EF campuses to to study. So, so that’s sort of, you know, extra curricula that we organize as a as a school.
Lasting Memories at EF Academy
ISTimes Global: (03:03) Great. As kids graduate from EF, what are some of the memories um you think that they take away from their time at your school?
EF Academy (Takumi): (03:12) So, um our students uh do sort of get a lot of um uh sort of experience uh you know, from their curriculum. Um and our students actually, as I mentioned, uh have a great result out of their out of our sort of focus on giving students as many sort of practical opportunities as possible. Um for example, the our success rate in getting into universities in the states or in in the UK or basically in any other parts of the world has been extremely high. So it’s been like over 99% of our students um sort of successfully getting into university sector after they graduate. Um and that’s that’s the the the result of our sort of focus on giving students a lot of, you know, uh sort of practical learning sort of experience. Um so that’s really the sort of main um I guess takeaway that students get out of their education that we offer at the EF Academy.
