Canadian Academy (CA), founded in 1913, stands as one of the longest-established and most respected international schools in Asia, situated on a spacious nine-acre campus on Rokko Island in Kobe, Hyogo. Serving approximately 700 highly diverse students (Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12) from over 40 nationalities, CA is a private, not-for-profit, co-educational institution. Uniquely in the region, CA offers both a day program and a sought-after boarding program for students aged 13 to 18. Academically, the school is a fully accredited IB Continuum School, offering the seamless progression of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the highly rigorous IB Diploma Programme (DP) in the final two years, alongside the option of earning a U.S. High School Diploma. Instruction is entirely in English, supported by mandatory Japanese study and options for French or Spanish. The learning environment is personalized, with class sizes ranging from 14 to 22 students, and is supported by dedicated faculty from over 25 countries. The school provides robust inclusive support, including EAL (English as an Additional Language) for language development and specific Learning Support for mild to moderate learning needs. Building & Development Fee: ¥300,000 (Annual). EAL Support: ¥200,000 (Annual, for the first 3 years, if required) & ¥100,000 thereafter. Learning Support (significant one-on-one) is available but may be assessed a separate fee (up to ¥3,500,000). Boarding Fee: ¥3,200,000 (Annual, includes room and board).

Extensive co-curricular program. Founding member of the Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC), a co-curricular program comprising twelve participating international schools across the Asia-Pacific region allowing high school students to compete in sports and arts internationally. Sports include Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Badminton, Cross country, Touch rugby, etc. Performing arts include Theatre, Choir, Band, Orchestra and Dance. Offers numerous service clubs and after-school activities. Middle School athletes participate in WJAA tournaments (Western Japan Activities Association) alongside other international schools within Japan. Elemantary School athletes participate in Falcon Cup, the annual interschool futsal tournament. CA has an extensive arts program covering Visual arts exhibitions of student works, annual drama production, Dance, Choir, Band, Digital Music, & Orchestra classes. High School Arts students at Canadian Academy have the chance to get involved in workshops with other international schools around Asia. This includes ISTA (International Schools Theatre Association), AMIS (Association of Music in International Schools), and Artist-in-Residence programs & APAC art competitions.

Interviews are typically conducted by the Admissions or Academic staff to assess the student's character, motivation, social maturity, and alignment with CA's mission. As an international school, digital interviews are often accommodated for overseas applicants.
