Christian Academy in Japan (CAJ) is a WASC-accredited K-12 Christian international school, established in 1950 in the northwest Tokyo suburbs. Serving approximately 450 students, CAJ provides a college preparatory, Christ-centered, North American curriculum that includes required Bible courses at every grade level and a strong academic focus. The High School features an extensive offering of Advanced Placement (AP) courses, with EAL support available for non-native English speakers. The school benefits from excellent facilities for its size, occupying a 4-acre campus that includes a large gymnasium and a regulation-size turf soccer field, which is rare for Tokyo schools. Student life emphasizes small class sizes (averaging 16-19) and rich extracurricular options across competitive sports, Fine Arts, and academic clubs like Robotics and Debate. Admission operates on a Rolling Admissions basis, requiring an interview for all applicants, and testing may be required.
