The Innovation Fellowship

The Innovation Fellowship (TIF) is a fully accredited international high school (Grades 9–12) located in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo. Founded in 2023, TIF operates on a highly selective, hyper-personalized model with a maximum enrollment of just 30 students and an average class size of five. Accredited by MSA-CESS and offering an American High School Diploma, the school combines rigorous inquiry-based academics with self-directed “Grand Mission” projects through its unique Innovator’s Framework, where students split their time between structured mastery-based coursework (including math and science via Khan Academy and inquiry-driven humanities) and real-world, mentor-guided projects. TIF follows a “living campus” approach, using professional collaborative spaces at Spark Shibuya, local gyms, internships, and Yoyogi Park as extensions of the classroom rather than relying on traditional facilities. Led by Yale-trained PhDs and experienced entrepreneurs, the faculty provides intensive 1:1 coaching and industry mentorship, preparing students for AP exams, the SAT, and competitive university pathways.
